Our Story
Founded by a registered healthcare professional with over seven years of experience in the disability sector, WeCare Support Services was born out of a deep understanding of the challenges participants face in traditional day programs and the struggle for participants to get accurate NDIS funding to support their needs.
Our founder spent several years, witnessing the challenges faced by participants in traditional day programs. The programs often did not cater to the interests or age group of individuals, resulting in a lack of common ground and inability for participants to forge meaningful friendships. During the pandemic, the negative effects of social isolation became apparent. This event highlighted the importance of friendships for positive mental health outcomes, and that loneliness can impact anyone, but it is particularly significant for our participants.
WeCare is here to revolutionise the way typical day programs operate. We have made it our mission to create innovative, engaging and enriching social groups were our participants have the opportunity to make connections with like minded individuals. We provide a welcoming environment that participants look forward to each week, offering them the choice and control to engage in activities that align with their interests.
Beyond our programs, WeCare has helped participants secure NDIS plans, funding, and fought for equitable support. Our Support Coordination Specialists take a personalised approach, guiding you through the NDIS process and helping you achieve the best outcomes for your life.
